The blog manners article is interesting. I like the idea of modular, voluntary badges people can use to make explicit the rules for their particular area.
I was a big fan of Kathy Sierra's blog and it's a shame it's over now because of some antisocial behavior. Adding some rules to the game might not solve the problem of online harassment, but it might at least make it easier to keep conversations civil.
